Here are some awesome things you can use to broaden your fun with Twitter!
TweetDeck - Get a 3-column view of incoming Twitters, divided up into topics or groups that you pick. Still in beta, TweetDeck is one of the most popular Twitter tools out there! Highly customizable, TweetDeck stores all Tweets in your topic or group for up to 48 hours while running. You could put BBW in one column, your local town name in another column and any new item you wanted to keep up-to-date on in the other. Then let the Tweets wash over you! If you’re a heavy Twitterer like I am (no pun intended!) it can be really fun and a good way to keep your finger on the pulse of the Twittersphere.
MONITTER.COM - Monitter.com is sort of an online version of TweetDeck but with some different functionality. A plus for me are that you can search for Tweets within a certain number of kilometers of a location input by you. And a very big plus, in my opinion, is that it runs in a web browser. There’s no need to download and install software. It’s usually my choice when Multi-Tweeting!
TwitPic.com - TwitPic.com will store your pics and post them to your Twitter account! It’s great for Twittering pictures when you are out and about. All you do is sign up and enter your Twitter info. Then add the e-mail address they give you to your camera phone. When you go out and see something you’d like to share with your Twitter followers, just snap the pic and send it to your TwitPic address, and it will be stored in your TwitPic account AND posted to your Twitter page! I’ve used it often and think it’s a very fun service.
